Tryouts and clinics for community sports groups, plus sporting events and tournaments, skate competitions, public appearances by sports stars in the area, autograph signings, sports conventions, etc. Deadline is two weeks before event date.

Wheeling Youth Basketball: Registration is being accepted for the Wheeling Park District Youth Basketball program. Ten divisions are offered for boys and girls in grades K-10 at an affordable rate. Conant Feeder Boys Basketball: The Conant Feeder Boys Basketball program has announced tryout dates for the 2009-2010 winter season. The program is designed for boys in sixth-eighth grade, who have the desire to play basketball at Conant High School in the future. Players must live in the district to be eligible for these teams.
