ECC to host its Founders' Day Brunch

Tickets are on sale for "Achieving Dreams," the 12th annual Founders' Day Brunch that will be from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 31, at Elgin Community College.

This year's event, commemorating the founding of the college, will be in the Fox Valley University and Business Center on the ECC main campus, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin.

Tickets are $75 per person and must be purchased in advance, as seating is limited.

Brunch guests will be treated to an opening champagne reception, followed by a gourmet meal. The event will feature entertainment and raffles for gifts and prizes.

Several awards will be given during the brunch. The ECC Distinguished Alumnus/Alumna Award recognizes a successful person who attended the college. Other awards given at the brunch include the Friend of Education Award and the Exceptional Friend of the ECC Foundation Award.

Note: Spartan Drive, from McLean Boulevard west to Renner Drive is closed due to construction and is expected to reopen in May.

Motorists may use either Fleetwood Drive or Weld Road to Second Street as an alternate route. From the west, motorists entering Spartan Drive from Randall Road will be detoured north onto Renner Drive to access the campus. For more information, visit elgin.edu/maps.
