Palatine Park District: Volleyball and basketball leagues begin Jan. 9 and run through March 13, at Falcon Park Recreation Center. Volleyball leagues for grades three, four, five and six; basketball league for grades one and two. Registration will be taken at the Community Center, 250 E. W.C.B.A. Travel Basketball: The World Class Basketball Association runs various travel teams and basketball camps for boys in grades five-high school. The association is currently scheduling evaluations for its 2010 Winter Travel Basketball program, which runs teams out of the Northwest Suburbs. Conant Feeder Boys Basketball: The Conant Feeder Boys Basketball program has announced tryout dates for the 2009-2010 winter season. Teams will be formed in late fall and games will be played form January through March 2010. All teams are headed by a volunteer coach and all players receive a participation trophy.
