Megan Morales' base hit drove in 2 runs in the top of the 10th inning as Bartlett's softball team got past Streamwood 3-1 Wednesday in Upstate Eight Conference action.
Callie Dennison (13-10) struck out 13, walked two and allowed 7 hits to earn the win for the Hawks (17-13, 10-8). Elizabeth Kay had a double for Bartlett.
Jen Mellonthin had a triple for the Sabres and Amanda Patterson was the losing pitcher.
Prairie Ridge 3, Huntley 2: Prairie Ridge scored 3 runs in the third inning and made them stand up for a Fox Valley Conference Fox Division win over Huntley (20-11, 10-4). Deanna DeBoscherre was 2-for-3 for Huntley while Jordan Hogue was 2-for-4 and Jenna Mychko had a double and an RBI. Sam Clemons suffered the loss for the Red Raiders and Johanna Turner picked up the win for PR.
Neuqua Valley 10, Larkin 1: Lexi Smithberg drove in Larkin's only run in this Upstate Eight loss. Megan Johnson suffered the loss in the circle for the Royals (5-20, 4-13).
Cary-Grove 12, Dundee-Crown 1: Alexis Haley was 2-for-4 with a home run and 4 RBI as Cary-Grove (14-16, 7-7) rolled to a FVC Valley win. Elini Polites (2-for-4, 2B) and Amy Parmenter (3-for-4) also contributed for the Trojans. Lindsey Marshall was the winning pitcher and Emilie Kerkman suffered the loss.
South Elgin 16, East Aurora 0: Courtney Bosteder was 4-for-4 with 5 RBI to help lead South Elgin (20-11, 13-5) to an easy Upstate Eight win. Also contributing for the Storm were Caitlin Stredde (2B), Kiersa Parillo (3-for-4, 2B, RBI, 4 runs), Kim Pierce (2-for-2, 2B, HR, 2 RBI), Rae Bosteder (RBI) and Layla Ismajlaj (2B, RBI). Xenia Cerda picked up the win, allowing just 3 hits.
