Tuesday's Fox Valley roundup

Callie Dennison hit a 2-run home run to lift Bartlett's softball team to a 2-0 Upstate Eight Conference win over Waubonsie Valley Tuesday. Lauren Chuchvara was 2-for-3 for the Hawks (13-11, 6-6). Elizabeth Kay picked up the win in the circle, allowing 5 hits.

Elgin 10, East Aurora 1: Kelly Patchett and Jaclyn Navarro each had 2 hits and 2 RBI and winning pitcher Hannah Perryman had 2 hits and an RBI as Elgin (7-18, 5-9) rolled to an easy Upstate Eight win. Perryman struck out 13 and allowed just 1 hit.

Neuqua Valley 9, Streamwood 1: Arielle Gallione drove in the only run for Streamwood (2-22, 2-12) in this Upstate Eight loss. Jenna Szabo suffered the loss for the Sabres.

Huntley 7, Grayslake North 2: Sam Clemons moved to 17-8 on the season with a 4-hitter as Huntley (18-10, 8-3) won in the Fox Valley Conference Fox Division. Sarah Clancy had a grand slam home run for the Red Raiders while Deana DeBoscherre was 2-for-3 with a triple and an RBI and Jenna Mychko was 2-for-4.

Burlington Central 14, Harvard 0: The Rockets (17-3, 7-0) won for the 14th straight time in this Big Northern East game. Brittany Priest (2B), Sam Gruner (RBI), Lindsay Lange (2-for-3, 2B, 2 RBI), Ashley Scheffler (2-for-3, 3B, 2 RBI), Mackenzie Scott (2-for-3, 2B), Katie Maleski (2B), Jessica Herrmann (2-for-2, RBI) and Megan Minehart (2B, RBI) led the Rockets' offense. Scott allowed just 1 hit and struck out 10 in 4 innings to earn the win.

Jacobs 5, Johnsburg 0: Amber Livingston allowed just 3 hits with 7 strikeouts and no walks and Sara Jacobson went 3-for-4 with a double as Jacobs (14-10) earned an FVC crossover win. Marissa Lombardo added a double for the Golden Eagles.

Woodstock 7, Dundee-Crown 1: Melany Love suffered the pitching loss as Dundee-Crown fell to Woodstock in the FVC Valley.

Marengo 13, Hampshire 0: Ally Kent took the loss and Hampshire (11-14-1) was held hitless in this Big Northern East loss.
