Brian Brauer hit his 12th home run of the season, one of 4 Streamwood homers on the day, as the Sabres (12-8-2, 10-4) rolled to an 11-0 Upstate Eight Conference baseball win over Elgin Thursday.

Matt Korntved hit 2 homers for the Sabres and Ryan Kiesel blasted a round-tripper as well.

Zach Klein allowed just 1 hit and had 7 strikeouts and 2 walks in picking up the win.

Casey Knaak suffered the loss for the Maroons.

CL South 12, Dundee-Crown 4: James Vasquez had a double and a home run to help the Gators (14-9, 2-3) to a win in the Fox Valley Conference Valley Division. Ian Gardeck improved to 5-0 on the mound for CL South.

Harvard 8, Hampshire 1: Tyler Bentley had a double and an RBI for the Whip-Purs (14-10, 5-3) in this Big Northern East loss. Luke Wians suffered the loss on the mound.

Lake Park 7, South Elgin 6: Drew Buddle was 3-for-4 with a home run and 3 RBI but the Storm fell short in the Upstate Eight.

Burlington Central 6, North Boone 2: Shane Larkin allowed just 4 hits in pitching the Rockets (13-6, 6-0) to a win in the Big Northern East. Jeff Ehlers had a 3-run double for BC.

Huntley 6, Grayslake Central 1: Craig Lipp (5-1) scattered 5 hits and struck out six with no walks as Huntley (19-3-1, 5-0) won in the FVC Fox. Chris Klein (2-for-2, 2B, 2 RBI) and Zach Liebmann (RBI) led the Red Raiders' offense.
