Bartlett, Huntley each win again
Luisa Desario scored four unassisted goals as the Bartlett girls soccer team opened the Upstate Eight Conference season with a 7-0 win over East Aurora Tuesday.
The win moves the Hawks to a program best 8-0 for the season.
Nicole Stevens, Alyssa Howard and Haley Videckis each added goals for Bartlett. Erin Zaideman and Natalia Grodzki shared time in goal for the Hawks but weren't called on to make any saves.
Huntley 4, Dundee-Crown 0: Emily Konior scored two goals and Aimee Wronski had 3 assists Tuesday as the Huntley girls soccer team defeated Dundee-Crown 4-0. Kaylee O'Brien and Kelly Crieger added goals for the Red Raiders (7-1-0) and Sara Hoffman made 2 saves in the net.
Stillman Valley 2, Burlington Central 1: Lili Castillo scored the Rockets' only goal in this Big Northern crossover loss. Kirby McMahon had 13 saves in goal for Burlington (1-5-0).
Grayslake Central 2, Jacobs 1: Kelsey Quitschau scored the only Jacobs goal in this Fox Valley crossover loss.
CL South 1, CL Central 0: Karley Mecko scored in the second half to life the Gators (2-2) past CL Central. Jessica Taldone made 1 save in the goal for CL South.
Cary-Grove 7, Grayslake North 0: Alyssa Jacobucci scored twice, as did Korey Kronforst as Cary-Grove rolled to an easy FVC crossover win. Kelli Anderson, Taylor Mahoney, Sally Tashjian and Alex Holland each scored for Cary-Grove as well.
Neuqua Valley 7, Elgin 0: Yasenia Meza made 8 saves in goal for the Maroons (2-3, 0-1) in this Upstate Eight loss.
Hampshire 0, Rockford Lutheran 0: Alex Heinrich made 2 saves in goal for the Whip-Purs (1-2-2) in this nonconference tie.
