•Vandals broke an outdoor light on the 21900 block of Rainbow Road around 10 p.m. Feb. 28.
Fox Lake
•A vandal shot a BB-gun pellet into a front picture window at a home on the 0-100 block of East Oak Street before 6:30 a.m. Feb. 13. Damage was estimated at $1,000.
Grayslake
•Andrew S. Hitzler, 20, of the 0-100 block of North Lake Street, Grayslake, was arrested Feb. 26 at 400 N. Lake St. and charged with battery. His court date is March 20.
Gurnee
•Thieves stole a wallet with $22 and credit cards at Centre Club, 1405 N. Hunt Club Road, around 8 a.m. March 3.
Island Lake
•William P. Arndt, 41, of the 800 block of Pearl Street, McHenry, was arrested around 3 a.m. March 7 at River and Dowell roads and charged with a traffic violation, resisting a police officer and driving under the influence of alcohol. His court date is April 6.
Kildeer
•Burglars stole a GPS unit out of a vehicle in a restaurant lot at 20817 Quentin Road around 9:30 p.m. March 3.
Lake Zurich
•Thieves stole a wallet out of a customer's purse at Dominick's, 345 S. Rand Road, around 5:45 p.m. March 6 and used credit cards in the wallet.
Mundelein
•Rosa Lucio-Castaneda, 29, and Eleazar Lucio-Castaneda, 32, both of the 200 block of Hickory Terrace, Island Lake, were arrested around 1:40 p.m. March 5 at T.J. Maxx, 3000 W. Route 60, and charged with theft after they took merchandise valued at $118. Their court date is April 16.
Round Lake Beach
•Sean C. Diaz, 20, of the 300 block of Bellevue Drive, Round Lake Park, was arrested around 11:20 a.m. Feb. 26 at Garden Fresh Market, 965 E. Rollins Road, and charged with retail theft after stealing groceries.
Vernon Hills
•Ross W. Schmidt, 42, of the 200 block of West Court of Shorewood, Vernon Hills, was arrested March 2 at 588 N. Lakeview Parkway and charged with deceptive practice after he used credit card numbers he obtained from his customers without their permission. A court date is March 16.
•Daniel J. Nosek, 43, of the 1200 block of Arbor, Lemont, was arrested March 4 at 200 Corporate Woods Parkway and charged with false impersonation of a police department. He made phone calls to businesses soliciting for money; he identified himself as the "Vernon Hills Police Department" when he knew he was not affiliated with the department in any way. His court date is March 19.
•Gail L. Novotny, 17, of the 600 block of North Emerald Avenue, Mundelein, Alexandria N. Adams, 18, of the 26200 block of Elmwood Avenue, Mundelein, and Kelly M. Burns, 18, of the 500 block of Waverly Drive, Mundelein, were arrested Feb. 26 at Dominick's, 290 E. Hawthorn Village. Novotny was charged with possession of controlled substance (cocaine and prescription medication), retail theft, and possession of tobacco by a minor. Adams was charged with retail theft; Burns was charged with retail theft, obstructing, driving under the influence, illegal transportation of open alcohol and a traffic violation. Burns left before officers arrived and was identified by the other two. She drove to the police department under the influence and refused to follow officers' orders. A court date is May 23.
Wauconda
•Abundio Dominguez, 43, of the 1000 block of Debden Drive, Island Lake, and Pedro Dominguez, 17, of the 700 block of East Liberty Street, Wauconda, were arrested around 3:50 p.m. Feb. 28 on the 100 block of East Liberty Street. Abundio was charged with no valid driver's license, and Pedro was charged with possession of tobacco by a minor and no valid driver's license. Their court date is March 25.
