Keepsake quilt: Finished quilt squares due at 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, Indian Trails Public Library District, 355 S. Schoenbeck Road, Wheeling. Celebrate the Indian Trails Public Library's 50th Anniversary by helping make a keepsake quilt to hang in the library. Beading class for adults: 10 a.m.-noon Thursday, Jan. 22, Beaded Elements, Barrington. Learn the crimping skills needed to create and string your own jewelry design. Spring fashion and gift show: The Schaumburg High School VIP Club invites vendors to participate in its Spring Fashion & Gift Show on March 7. They are seeking a variety of offerings such as jewelry, candles, handbags, accessories, fragrances, skin care as well as unique and whimsical gift ideas. 50 spaces are available. Two fashion shows will also be held during the event, featuring spring apparel and prom fashions sponsored by local retailers. Fremd High School Spring Boutique: 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, March 7, William Fremd High School, 1000 S. Quentin Road, Palatine. Over 180 crafters offering quality merchandise in a variety of media. Hosted by the Fremd Boosters Club, proceeds benefit sports programs and student organizations. Free parking and admission.
