Clerk's holiday hours
The Kane County Clerk's vital records division will changes its hours this week. The office will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. The office will be closed Thursday and Friday. Regular hours resume Dec. 1. Call (630) 232-5950 for more information.
Dist. 33 planning meetings
Presentations showing how West Chicago Elementary School District 33 plans to handle enrollment growth and meet the needs of 21st century learners will be made at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, and on Thursday, Dec. 11 at the West Chicago Middle School Library, 238 E. Hazel St. Superintendent Ed Leman will explain plans that include building additions to bring sixth graders to the middle school. Barsanti joins panel
Kane County State's Attorney John Barsanti was one of just eight Illinois attorneys elected to a panel governing the Office of the State's Attorney's Appellate Prosecutor. The office represents the state in some appellate cases in districts with fewer than 3 million residents. It also assists state's attorneys with criminal trials, investigations and training.

Central High School Service Club is looking for addresses of families or friends in the Burlington area who are serving in the military in Iraq or Afghanistan. Breakfast, finance at Judson
At 7:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 1, Judson University will host a breakfast event forecasting the outlook of the economy based on Barack Obama's economic policies. The speaker, Armond Dinverno, is a principal and co-president of Balasa Dinverno Foltz LLC. Dinverno has served as part of Charles Schwab's Institutional Advisory Board. He also testified to President Bush's Advisory Panel on Tax Reform about the impact of the tax laws on taxpayers' decisions and their behavior.
