Wheaton Academy regional

Hampshire regional
Winning 6 of their final 10 matches, the Whip-Purs are slated to host Belvidere Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. Hampshire (8-9-1) improved upon a 1-6 start following position changes on the field, and hopes to see second-half success continue as it hosts a regional. "We will come to play, and we are expecting to advance," said Whips coach John Gosling.
Class 3A
Rockford Boylan sectional
The 4 regionals in the Boylan sectional feature four of the top ranked teams in the Daily Herald Top 20, including No. 1 Lake Zurich, which will open against Dundee-Crown (9-13) at 5 p.m. Tuesday in the Barrington regional. Cary-Grove (15-1-1) will follow that match against No. 2 seed Barrington at 7 p.m. The Trojans have not lost since August 23. While the Huntley regional opens Saturday, area representatives Crystal Lake South, Jacobs (10-7-4) and Huntley (8-6-3) won't appear until Monday when No. 1 seed South takes on Saturday's winner in either Jefferson or DeKalb. Jacobs and Huntley play at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday with the winner advancing to the regional final.
Wheaton North sectional
Equally as challenging as Boylan is the Wheaton North sectional, hosting six Top 20 teams led by No. 5 Larkin, which opens the postseason against either Hoffman Estates or Conant on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the St. Charles North regional En route to the program's first Upstate Eight Conference title, the Royals have built an 18-1 mark. The Streamwood regional pits South Elgin at Addison Trail at noon Saturday, as well as an Elgin (3-15-1) at Leyden matchup at 11 a.m. The winner of that contest will face regional host Streamwood (15-4-4), which boasts the No. 12 slot in the Daily Herald Top 20 at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Bartlett (6-9-5) is the lone area competitor in the Elk Grove regional and a Round 1 victory over Elk Grove for the Hawks (2 p.m. Saturday) would see them advance to face the No. 11 ranked and No. 2 seeded Geneva Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
