Master plan forum:

Anyone interested in Glen Ellyn Elementary District 41's Master Facility Planning Project can attend a forum from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, at Churchill Elementary School, 240 Geneva Road, Glen Ellyn. Parents, residents and community members are invited to attend the forum and learn about the planning process that started last year with stormwater, safety, security and space utilization studies. Officials are looking to create a facilities plan that will carry the district for the next 10 to 20 years. They expect to finish the process in the spring.

Glenbard 'Conversations':

Glendale Heights residents can see the premiere episode of "Conversations with Glenbard" at 10:05 a.m. daily on Glendale Heights cable channel 6. Glenbard High School District 87 is presenting the monthly 30-minute series to provide community members with important information related to district priorities, operations and future direction. The first episode focuses on the strategic plan. The show soon will be available at glenbard87.org and Comcast's regional public access channel 19.

Good neighbors sought:

Villa Park Community Pride Commission seeks individuals and groups to participate in Good Neighbor Day on Saturday, Sept. 27. The panel seeks volunteers to spend at least two hours between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. helping an elderly or disabled resident with yard work or errands. Calling all cooks:

Villa Park seeks competitive cooks to compete in the village's annual chili cook-off or cornbread competition. Categories include beef chili with and without beans, chili with other meats, and vegetarian chili. The contest will be held at 7 p.m. Oct. 18 at the Community Recreation Building, 320 E.
