Come see what Girl Scouts has to offer

Girl Scouts-Sybaquay Council invites girls ages 5-17, kindergarten through 12th grade, and their parents or guardians to come and find out what Girl Scouts can offer you and your family.

Join the Scouts for an informational meeting and to sign up from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday, July 25, at Panera Bread at 971 West Irving Park Road in Streamwood.

The Girl Scout program encourages values, while giving girls opportunities to gain experience in the areas of science and technology, the arts, out-of-doors and health and fitness. This family-oriented organization encourages girls to grow as responsible citizens by learning the importance of helping others through community service. Girls develop courage, confidence and character, while they have fun and make new friends.

For more information, call Kris Trusk at (847) 741-5521, Ext. 7142.

Girl Scouts-Sybaquay Council is headquartered in Elgin and serves more than 10,000 girls in 50 communities in McHenry County and parts of Cook, DeKalb, DuPage, Lake, La Salle and Kane counties.
