Association announces new officers
The Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago has announced the names of the newly elected officers to its Regional Board of Directors and its local chapters and councils, as well as the Inductees into its Court of Honor and award recipients. The association installed the new officers and honored the Inductees and award recipients at its 2008 Inaugural Ball.
Alan D. Lev, of Belgravia Group, Ltd. was installed as the new president of HBAGC for a one-year term. He succeeds Al Darwan of Buckingham Builders Corporation in Plainfield who just completed a year serving in the office of the president. The HBAGC serves builders in nine Chicagoland counties including Cook, DeKalb, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry and Will. Officers' terms become effective immediately and remain in place for the next year.
The officers installed to the HBAGC's Regional Board are:

Senior Vice President -- Dan Ungerleider, Cambridge Homes, Inc., Libertyville.
Vice President -- Christopher Coleman, Dearborn Buckingham Group, Inc., Northfield.
Secretary/Treasurer -- Sarah E. Shepard, Plante & Moran, Elgin.
Immediate Past President -- Al Darwan, Buckingham Builders Corporation, Plainfield.
The presidents installed to each of the Association's five membership chapters are:
City of Chicago Chapter --serving builders in the city of Chicago: President -- Dan Fowler, Impressionist Development Corp., Chicago.
Lake County Chapter --serving builders in Lake County: President -- Edward Augustin Ill, Kenneth James Builders L.L.C., Northbrook.
McHenry County Chapter -- serving builders in McHenry County: President -- Susanne Tauke, New American Homes, Inc., Hawthorn Woods.
North Central Chapter --serving builders in northern and western Chicago/and counties: President -- Christopher Coleman, Dearborn Buckingham Group, Inc., Northfield.
Southwest Chapter --serving builders in south Cook, DeKalb, DuPage, Grundy, Kendall and Will President -- Ralph B. Kristensen, Cambridge Homes, Inc., Libertyville.
The presidents installed to each of the association's five councils are:
Custom Builders Council President -- Jane Levy, Levy Custom Homes, River Forest.
HBAGC Remodelers President -- Lisa Pickell, Orren Pickell Designers & Builders, Lincolnshire.
Multifamily Housing & Community Council President -- Tracy Hill, Property Specialists, Inc., Rolling Meadows.
Sales & Marketing Council President -- Andy Simac, Cambridge Homes, Inc., Libertyville.
Young Builders Council President -- John Sorenson, U.S. Shelter L.L.C., Hoffman Estates.
The association also announced the names of the Inductees into its Court of Honor, a tribute bestowed upon current and past members who have upheld and enhanced the association's high standard of service to the housing industry:
Michael R. Nagel, Remodel One, Inc., Roselle; Frank Wolff, New South Federal Savings Bank, Schaumburg; Other honors bestowed at the Inaugural include several awards. The awards and the recipients of those awards are:
