Nicor to exhibit at fire stations' open houses

Nicor Gas will participate in more than 50 fire department open houses across its service territory to educate the public on natural gas safety.

Most of the open houses will take place during National Fire Prevention Week, Oct. 7-13.

At the open houses, Nicor Gas will display a tabletop exhibit of a family home with references to key natural gas safety tips, as well as examples of correct and incorrect appliance connectors. Nicor will give out a Lego fire station in a drawing that participants answer questions about natural gas safety to enter.
