Survivor to sign books
The Reliquarian Organization of Glen Ellyn will host a talk by Mike Kuryla, a survivor of the USS Indianapolis battleship, at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Lake Ellyn Boat House, 645 Lenox Road, Glen Ellyn. He is one of only 316 men who survived after the ship was attacked by a Japanese submarine in 1945. The Indianapolis is the single worst at-sea loss of life in U.S. Navy history.
