Bhuma Krishnamachari joined Edward Hospital, Naperville, as director of genetic counseling services. She works with oncology, cardiology, prenatal and pediatric patients. Krishnamachari, who is board certified in genetic counseling, holds a master's degrees in both human genetics and immunology from the University of Minnesota. She is now pursuing a doctorate degree in epidemiology at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Oswego resident Carrie Darrah was promoted to senior engineer at Crawford, Murphy & Tilly Engineers. Darrah joined the firm in 2002 and provides design for wastewater treatment plant projects in LaSalle, Ottawa and Princeton, Ill.

Daniela Stoyanova of Prospect Heights and Jenny Yang of Bensenville, independent distributors for Market America, advanced to coordinators for the product brokerage and Internet marketing company.
