Queen of the Rosary School Participates In Google Expeditions AR

On Friday, March 16, Queen of the Rosary students in grades K-8 participated in Google Expeditions AR through the Pioneer Program. Using Google's augmented reality technology, students were led through collections of 360° and 3D images. Dinosaurs, Animal Camouflage, DaVinci's Inventions and Planets were a few of the favorite expeditions.

Expeditions brings immersive computing to schools bringing abstract concepts to life and gives students a deeper understanding of the world beyond the classroom. Using Android phones with AR technology developed by Google, teachers bring digital objects into the classroom.

HMH, Vida Systems, MLB Advanced Media, NASA, National Park Service, Twig World, Parks Canada, UNESCO, FDNY, Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, Timelooper, and the United Nations have contributed to developing the curriculum for students.

Queen of the Rosary serves students in preschool through grade 8. For more information, please call 847-437-3322 or visit www.qrschool.org.
