The first Timothy O'Toole's Pub was founded 25 years ago just steps from the Magnificent Mile and Navy Pier. It is considered a sports fan's haven with a subterranean bar offering 70+HD flat screens showing all major sporting events, including PPV boxing.

In March 2009, a second Timothy O'Toole's Pub opened in Gurnee tourist favorite Six Flags Great America. The suburban outpost of Chicago's legendary pub features 36 HD flat screens showing all major sporting events, 38 beers on tap, and numerous entertainment options including live music and karaoke. For game enthusiasts, Timothy O'Toole's offers Golden Tee Live and trivia.

The more chef-driven O'Toole's of Libertyville opened its doors June 9, 2015, in Libertyville's hot restaurant row, offering the same great craft beer and wine selections, entertainment, and unique special events as its renowned Timothy O'Toole's Pub sister locations. It has a more extensive menu aimed at a 30-plus audience as well as families.

Award-winning, iconic O'Toole's Pub Group recently announced it will open in early 2018 a fourth location in Lake Villa. Timothy O'Toole's Pub Lake Villa will be located on the site of the former Blackthorn Grille, 10 W. Grand Avenue. It will offer similar fare as Timothy O'Toole's in Gurnee, but will skew more as a family pub. It also is the first of the group to offer pizza - specialty pizza from a highly regarded pizza recipe enjoyed in that area of Lake County. The location will cover 5.000 square feet with outdoor dining serving 200 customers total.

The four establishments, under the O'Toole's Pub Group banner, are family-owned since 1992 by Humberto Martinez, Jr, and Sara McKinnon.
