Kick Off the Holiday Season in Roselle November 25

Join the Village of Roselle, the Roselle Public Library, and the businesses along Roselle's Main Street as they host Celebrate the Season & the 2nd Annual Cocoa Crawl on November 25. Organizers are kicking off the holiday season and supporting Small Business Saturday, starting with Celebrate the Season hosted by the Roselle Public Library, 40 S. Park St., at 1:00 p.m. The Cocoa Crawl will begin from the library after Santa arrives by fire truck at 2:00 p.m. and will continue along Roselle's Main Street until 5:00 p.m. Both of these family-friendly events are free, with no purchase or registration required.

The Cocoa Crawl is a great opportunity for families to visit Roselle's local businesses for cocoa, treats, and other specials on Small Business Saturday, which falls on the Saturday after Thanksgiving each year. Beloved characters from Disney's Frozen, Elsa and Anna, will be at the Cocoa Crawl for photo opportunities and autographs as well.

Entertainment will be ongoing in the Civic Plaza at the corner of Main and Prospect Streets throughout the afternoon, and carolers will be traveling the sidewalks. Commemorative Cocoa Crawl mugs will be sold at the event for $5, with proceeds benefiting the Roselle Police Department's "Stuff the Pig" holiday ham dinner fundraiser.

A Community Tree will be located in the Civic Plaza. Families may bring an ornament from home or make one at the American Legion Hall, 344 E. Maple Ave., during the event to put on the Community Tree, which will be lit at the conclusion of the Cocoa Crawl. (Ornaments placed on the Roselle Community Tree will be considered donations. Ornaments will not be returned to participants.)
