April 20 program to explore managing anxiety in children

As difficult as it is to watch children go through frustrations and failures, helping them learn to cope with these inevitable challenges better prepares them for a successful future. "Success is measured by effort, determination, and grinding things out," said Adam Russo during a presentation on this topic in January 2016.

At 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 20, Immanuel Lutheran Church and School, 950 Hart Road in Batavia, is hosting a 90-minute presentation on how to help manage anxiety in children, presented by Adam Russo, a licensed clinical social worker. He is the founder, chairman, and CEO of Edgewood Clinical Services, a private mental health agency with offices in North Plainfield, South Naperville, and North Naperville.

He has more than 15 years of clinical experience and has formally worked in youth outreach as well as administration in local mental health facilities. Adam presented this topic at the Illinois State School Social Work Conference and was recently a featured speaker at TEDx Naperville.
