Barrington Cultural Arts Center features March Artist of the Month

The Barrington Cultural Arts Center is pleased to have photographer Geno Goss as the featured artist at the gallery at the Ice House Mall, 200 Applebee St. in Barrington, for the month of March.

Geno is a Barrington resident who for years was involved with the Barrington Ice Arena and spends time in the spring and summer pursuing his passion for landscape photography. He has done workshops and private training under photography masters like Bill Lea, Donald McGowan, and most recently, Eric Stensland. Geno says he became a student of light over 10 years ago - realizing that light determines where you shoot, when you shoot and what you shoot. He likes to pre-visualize compositions using side light which paints the most detail on the landscapes.

"I enjoy working with filters, low light and long exposures. I hope my love of the rivers and mountains shows through in my photography."
