St. Petronille Students are Leaders in Service to Their Community

One important aspect of student life at St. Petronille School is Service! Since forming students as servant-leaders is an ongoing process of high priority, we provide our students with opportunities to serve both on and off our campus. For example, during the week of September 26, students in grades 5 through 8 participated in an off-campus field trip at Churchill Park in Glen Ellyn. There at the park they participated in a number of activities, including the removal of harmful, invasive plant species. They also helped to chop buckthorn and move it for later grinding into woodchips, with eventual redistribution onto the paths at Churchill Park. St. Petronille School works with the naturalists at the Glen Ellyn Park District who run the Churchill program for area students.
