Allegro Adult Choir to Begin Rehearsals September 3

The Allegro Adult Choir provides an opportunity for men and women of all ages who have enjoyed singing in a group and would like to return to ensemble singing. Allegro welcomes experienced singers as well as singers with limited choral experience. Allegro performs a wide variety of music from classical to Hollywood show tunes. Solo and small group opportunities will encourage your musical growth. The Fall Session of Allegro will take place on Wednesdays from 7:30pm to 9:00pm from September 3 to December 3.

The Fall session of Allegro will culminate with the holiday concert, "Cold Weather, Warm Hearts," on Sunday, December 7 at 4:00pm at Cutting Hall Performing Arts Center, 150 E. Wood Street, Palatine, Illinois.

Allegro Adult Choir is led by Maggie Strong. Maggie is a performer and director. She holds a bachelor's degree in Music Education from Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois. Before moving to the Chicago area, Maggie taught Choir at Warrensburg-Latham Middle and High Schools and directed the choir at Illini Congregational Church. She has been featured on the Tri Delta National Ritual Recording and has performed with the Decatur Park Singers. Currently, she can be heard singing with the Heartland Voices.
