Wasco Baseball partners with St. Charles North

Wasco Baseball is excited to announce a new organizational partnership with the St. Charles North High School baseball program. Beginning with the 2015 season, coaches selected by St. Charles North will manage and coach one of Wasco Baseball's 13U travel teams.

"Wasco Baseball is recognized as the premier youth baseball organization in the Fox Valley. One of the elements that has helped us achieve this status has been significant player development at young ages. We were looking for a partner to help us build upon that success at the older ages in order to best prepare our Members for high school," said Chris Bell, President of Wasco Baseball. "By leveraging one of the Fox Valley's premier high school programs in St. Charles North, we believe we have a win/win for both our Members and the community," he added.

"St. Charles North was looking for the best environment to reach out to the community to develop the next group of prospective high school baseball players," said Todd Genke, St. Charles North varsity head coach. "The success and commitment Wasco Baseball has for the community made this decision very easy. We are excited at the opportunity to work with some of the best youth baseball players in the area," he said.

Players will benefit by being better prepared for high school baseball, regardless of which high school they will attend. SCN Varsity coach Todd Genke will be at tryouts on Saturday, Aug. 2 to meet with prospective players and help facilitate tryouts. In 2016, the process will continue at the 13U and 14U levels.

Tryouts will be held on Aug. 2-3. For exact times & locations or for more information, go to travel.wascobaseball.com.
