The Ceremony Ends-A Fresh Start For a New Family

Lake County Housing Authority cut the Ribbon on the newly rebuilt Round Lake Beach Property.

The community partners showered the newly remodeled home. Neighboring Housing Authorities were present both North Chicago and Waukegan alongside of LCHA. The Executive Director Steve Clark and Instructor Jorge Colon, of Tech Campus, and their students were in attendance to celebrate the successful rebuild project.

Junior students Maria B, Ben S., Hunter P. Danny C. and Brandon H. received the applause for working so diligently on the project.

Executive Director and Chief Executive Office David A. Northern, Sr., commented during the ceremony, "The members of the community need to join together on projects of this nature to strengthen and improve our neighborhoods." Chairman Peters of the Lake County Housing Authority was on hand and praised the students for being positive contributing citizens of society.

Since implementing the strategy in 2011, LCHA has acquired 14 additional housing units in various parts of the county with the goal of 30 non subsidized Affordable Housing properties. We are proud to add Hainesville Road Property to the list of community improvements in our portfolio. The newly renovated home went on the market for lease
