Back-to-back sold out shows in the Listening Room

The past two weekends, the Lakeside Legacy Arts Park hosted back-to-back, sold-out concerts in the Listening Room. The Nicholas Tremulis Orchestra and Pat McKillen rocked the stage with crowds over 100 people enjoying each show.

The Nicholas Tremulis Orchestra came to the Listening Room on April 12 and played poetic, alternative rock and roll that had the audience captivated.

"Nick and his group are some of the most creative musicians there are. They have played with some of the finest artists, such as: Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Rick Danko of The Band, Ivan Neville, and many more," stated Roger Reupert, the house manger of the Listening Room. "This band is composed of a group of well-seasoned veterans in the music business, each having their own storied body of work and experience. Their sold-out show was nothing less than a memorable evening with an enthusiastic crowd and band."

Singer/songwriter Pat McKillen came to the Listening Room stage on April 19 and the audience who attended this show had the opportunity to experience an emerging musician on the rise. Pat McKillen has been featured on "America's Got Talent" and has opened for many notable bands, such as Lifehouse, Eric Hutchinson, Matisyahu, Tyler Hilton, and Smashmouth.

"For me, it's not necessarily about the size of the studio or the equipment you have," McKillen says, "The most important thing is that the sound of the recordings come off as organic as the songs themselves. As the one who is writing the songs, I know I'll take good care of them and get them right one way or another through my own experimentation in the studio."
