Class 2A Hampshire regional: The host Whip-Purs finished fifth as a team with 81 points, but advanced numerous individuals to next weekend’s Class 2A Lakes sectional in Lake Villa.

Sophomore Kyle Szlenk took second at 106 pounds. Sophomore Wylie Allen also was second at 120. Junior Anton Krocko was second at 182. Freshman Jake Szlenk was third at 113, while senior Omar Perez was third at 126. Sophomore Jonathon Jimenez was third at 285.

Class 2A Belvidere regional: Burlington Central had two sectional qualifiers out of Saturday’s Class 2A Belvidere regional.

Sophomore Nicholas Maldonado placed third at 106, while junior Chrstian Quiles was fourth at 152. Maldonado as Quiles will compete next Saturday at the Pontiac sectional.

Class 1A Alden-Hebron regional: Harvest Christian Academy freshman Rickey Lattanzio placed fourth at 113 pounds at the Class 1A Alden-Hebron regional. Lattanzio will compete in the Class 1A Byron sectional next Saturday.
