This letter is in response baseless accusations made by Leslie Munger in a recent article entitled, "Business Climate Important to 59th District candidates."

Facts are pesky things, especially when trying to discredit the accomplishments of a true leader like state Rep. Carol Sente.

Carol has a clear record of leadership -- fighting for the issues that are important to Illinois families, such as economic development, the budget and fewer taxes.

Carol, a former small business owner, became a public servant to help fix Illinois' financial mess and make this state a better place to live -- that's why right after taking office, she passed landmark legislation to bring transparency and common sense to the state's budgeting process, opposed the income tax increase, and most recently successfully introduced legislation requiring the state to establish an economic development plan to attract and retain businesses, and most importantly, put Illinois back to work.

Carol works in a respectable, bipartisan manner and is always accessible. We need Carol, and more visionaries like her, in Springfield.
