Class Act to Present Two Productions of Disney's Mulan Jr.

The Palatine Park District offers a variety of acting opportunities for young thespians. During the school year, Acting Up is provided for children in grades 1 to 3, Act Two is a program for children in grades 4 to 6, and older children in grades 7 through 12 can enroll in the Class Act program. Each of these programs provides age appropriate instruction in acting, singing, staging, dialogue, improvisation, movement, and scene study.

This weekend, the students of Class Act will be performing a production of Disney's Mulan Jr. on Friday, November 8 at 7:00pm and on Saturday, November 9 at 11:00am. The show is a heartwarming celebration of culture, honor, and a fighting spirit. This show has all the characters from the popular movie and song favorites like “Reflection,” “Honor to Us All,” and “I'll Make a Man Out of You.”

The Class Act program included auditions in September, and the students are taught that it takes a team of actors, production staff and volunteers to bring a show like this to life. This year's program has been led by instructors Julie Price, Director, and Tamara Kist, Choreography/Musical Director.
