Joe Cicero of STAR 105.5 performs Comedy for Care4 Breast Cancer 5k

Crystal Lake, IL - Joe Cicero of Star 105.5 and his friends took the stage at 'the Listening Room' within Lakeside Legacy Arts Park on Thursday, October 17th. They performed comedy to raise money for the 13th Annual Care4 Breast Cancer 5k. Guests came out to show their support for the cause, and were entertained by Joe Cicero, and the entire 1505.5 morning show crew including Matt Drufke, Rick Cooper, and Tina Bree. Cicero's comedy night took place before the 13th annual 5k, and helped raise funds before the race. Proceeds from the 13th annual 5K Run/Walk assists uninsured women with breast cancer education, preventative services and screenings in McHenry County, IL. Family Health Partnership Clinic provides primary health care to those individuals who do not have insurance or who are underinsured. No one is turned away for inability to pay. Rick Cooper a performer on 10/17 said, "This is a fabulous venue, can't wait to come back to 'the Listening Room." Another performer, Matt Drufke added. "'the Listening Room' is perfect for doing comedy, it's like being in a Chicago comedy club, without the hour drive."

Siobhan Cottone, Lakeside's Executive Director remarked, "We want the community to know that our beautiful Arts Park and the Historic Dole Mansion is a fellow non-for-profit that supports other charities and causes. We were glad our new venue, 'the Listening Room' could be the perfect setting for Joe to raise money for this important cause." Roger Reupert, 'the Listening Room House Manager added, "We are grateful for the partnership Lakeside has with Joe Cicero and Star 105.5. We want the community to know this venue is here offering excellent entertainment, and that we also work with other charities."
