The Fullersburg Historic Foundation will present "Hollywood's Civil War Movies" with speaker Professor Bruce Allardice, Civil War Historian, Saturday, July 20th, 1:30 pm, at the Oak Brook Public Library, 600 Oak Brook Rd, Oak Brook.

Professor Allardice brings his wit and expertise to review Hollywood’s take on the war, including their ever-changing treatment of the war’s major themes. His talk will concentrate on three films, focusing on their depiction of North and South; the cause of the war; slavery; women in the war; and their depiction of the battles.

There have been at least 100 Civil War movies made, some very good, others very bad. Will you agree with Prof. Allardice‘s rating as to which Civil War movies are the best?? Don’t miss this presentation!
