Two Fremd students are perfect on the ACT
Fremd High School students Mazin Bokhari and Yuki Koike each earned a composite score of 36 on the ACT, which is the highest possible score on the exam, school officials announced.
Earlier this academic year, four other Palatine-Schaumburg High School District 211 students also got perfect scores: Jack Riedy, Palatine High School; Nikita Pillai, Conant High School, and Soumik Biswas and Fiona Helgren, both from Fremd High School.
More than 1.7 million students take the exam in the United States, and only 781 of those scored a 36. Since 1998, a total of 53 District 211 students have earned a 36 on the ACT.
The ACT consists of individual exams in science, mathematics, reading, English and an optional writing test, which are each scored on a scale of 1-36. A student’s final score is the average of the four test scores.
