The Little Shoppe at the Symphony

40 years ago a group of interesting and dedicated women got together with an idea. They were teachers and homemakers, artists and engineers, musicians and lawyers. They came from many different backgrounds and dozens of different interests. They came together to support the music they loved. Today, The Elgin Symphony League still stands in support of

“Chicago’s second symphony.” Their elegant little boutique is the perfect place to shop for high end accessories and home holiday décor without the high end prices. The ESL Shoppe at the Symphony is open during concerts at Hemmens Cultural Center. This December 15, 1:00 to 4:00PM and 6:00 to 9:00pm and December 15 1:00 to 4:00pm during the “Let it Snow” holiday concert. There is a friendly Reindeer offering Raffle tickets for $1.00 to win lovely music boxes, hand crafted rocking horses and signed views of Wriggly Field and other prizes, all are worth $50 to $150. As the New Year opens, the ESL is planning a Day of Music and Art at the Chicago Art Institute, luncheons and dinners with the guest artists and conductors from the ESO as well as a visit with some very “Wicked Divas”, lunch at a polo match and much more..
