Pretty Patrol launches the 1st Women of Courage Event

Pretty Patrol launched Elgin Women of Courage in early September this year. “We want women to feel empowered even if they are going through any personal hardships. Clarissa and I both experienced the same difficulties; we have our degrees, had great jobs and experienced the downside of the economy. This is our way of giving back. We also encourage local business owners to be proactive as well in the community.” said Trina Ella Founder of Pretty Patrol, based in Elgin.

Every month, the dynamic duo goes through a list of inspiring personal stories, submitted by nominees’ friends and relatives via email. So, what is Elgin Women of Courage Events? “We are looking for Inspirational Women!” exclaims Clarissa, co-founder of Pretty Patrol. “It does not matter what are the struggles. It may be your friend, sister, mom or your neighbor. Our goal is to brighten up their day or make them smile even for a moment that will be enough for us. We have experienced kindness and we plan to pay it forward.” She added.

It is evident that the duos are motivated by their mission, which is to empower, uplift and serve the community through beauty, kindness and social responsibility. The founders also shared that they always revert back to Albert Einstein’s quote "Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value." Ms. Ella added "It truly resonates with our mission.”

Pretty Patrol will pick 10 inspirational Women of Courage this holiday season and will receive a complimentary make over haircut, hair color and make up. Their pictures and stories will be published and featured on their website. Venue for the event is will be announced on their website. You can start nominating your Women of Courage and send your stories at prettypatrolusa@gmail.com. Deadline for applications will be 12/08/2012.
