Richard Rudis to perform sacred Gong Bath concert

For the first time in this area, internationally known sound pioneer and recording artist Richard Rudis will conduct a healing Gong Bath concert at the Highland Avenue Church of the Brethren in Elgin. The Gong Bath will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16. Because space is limited, advanced reservations are being taken by Irene Frederick, (847) 697-7247 or abundant.1@sbcglobal.net

Rudis has studied Eastern philosophy and Buddhism for over 25 years, and has been teaching Buddhist Dharma and Vibrational Healing workshops with the Himalayan Sacred Sound Instruments across the U.S. for the past 16 years. He has studied sacred sound playing techniques all over the world.

Rudis creates transformational sound waves using traditional Tibetan instruments and a specially tuned 38-inch planetary Earthgong. He blends harmonic resonances to fashion a vibrational tool of multi-tonal overtones and harmonics, which reduce stress, balance energy, and foster spontaneous healing of mind, body, spirit.

Each participant is bathed in the rising and falling rhythms, tonalities and vibrations of the incorruptible universal cord, “AUM.” This process effectively alters consciousness into a more peaceful and expansive transformative state of being.
