Strides for Hunger

The second annual Strides for Hunger 5K race on Saturday, Nov. 17.

The race will take place at 9 a.m. at Genoa-Kingston High School. This race is to benefit the local Genoa Food Pantry.

Through the economic times, the Genoa community, which consists of 5,000 residents, is in need of support like other communities.

The food pantry is serving almost 10 percent of the community and is having a difficult time meeting the needs of its customers.

This 5K race is a great way to help fill the shelves as the holidays are approaching.

There are age division winners along with a finishers medal for those who complete the race. Registration before race day is $25. On race day, it will be $30.
