The Maine West football theme on Friday, Aug. 24 was to honor the veterans.

Approximately 50 veterans were asked to line up on the field before the game and were applauded. This was an excellent event. The enthusiasm, teamwork from the team, band, cheerleaders, umpires, staff, organization and workers gave us all a feeling of appreciation and confidence in our leaders of tomorrow.

Moylan was never a veteran and should be able to step aside on some of his picture-taking events.
