Prospect still perfect in match play

Defending Class AA girls golf state champion Prospect improved to 6-0 in match play on Tuesday when it scored a 156 at the Mt. Prospect Golf Course on Tuesday.

The Knights topped visiting New Trier (160) and Maine South (165), which is coached by Jeff Hamann, the brother of Prospect coach Jim Hamann.

Prospect junior Kiley Walsh, the 2012 Early Bid Invite champ, earned medalist honors by shooting a 2-over par 37.

She was followed by teammates Jenny Geraghty (39), Noreen Caporusso (40) and Emma Menich (40).

Fremd d. Lake Forest: Fremd topped Lake Forest 173-178 on the Scouts’ Lake Bluff Golf Course.

Angie Kim (41), Jennifer Kim (42), Dorothy Feng (44) and Claire Nowak (46).

Angie Kim tied Lake Forest’s Lauren Nyatt for medalist honors.

Warren d. Palatine: Warren won the dual meet 183-194 but Palatine’s Sally Ploch was the medalist by shooting a 4-over 36 at Palatine Hills Golf Club.
