Lisle rallies to beat Peotone

Melanie Early doubled in Summer Stitt with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to force extra innings, then singled in Stitt with the game-winner with two outs in the ninth as Lisle rallied for a thrilling 5-4 win over Peotone Thursday.

Lisle (9-2, 2-2 Interstate Eight Conference) led 1-0 going into the seventh, gave up 4 runs in the top of the seventh but came back with 3 in the bottom half. Winning pitcher Early (6-1), who struck out 10, was 3-for-5, Stitt 2-for-5 with a double and Kristina Fernette 2-for-3 with a walk.

Neuqua Valley 5, Batavia 2:

The Wildcats (7-4, 5-1 Upstate Eight) scored 3 runs in the top of the seventh to snap a 2-2 tie in Batavia. Winning pitcher Jamie O’Brien (5-3) reached on an error leading off, stole second and scored on Brooke Meyer’s RBI double. Alyssa Mazurek and Alyssa D’Amico followed with RBI singles.

Glenbard North 8, Schaumburg 0:

Lilly Fecho (7-0) struck out 11 in five innings of work, combining with Lindsey Cherry on a two-hitter for the No. 3 Panthers in Schaumburg. Kelsey Muller went 3-for-5 with 5 RBI, Sarah Petzold was 3-for-4 with a double and Fecho 2-for-4 with 2 RBI for Glenbard North (11-0).

West Aurora 7, Waubonsie Valley 6:

The Blackhawks scored 5 runs in the bottom of the first, then held on to snap No. 17 Waubonsie’s eight-game winning streak. Jessica Sarch went 2-for-3 with 2 RBI and 2 stolen bases for the Warriors (9-3).

Glenbard South 11, Ridgewood 0:

Danielle Chitkowski (6-1) twirled a five-inning perfect game, striking out 10, for the No. 8 Raiders (11-1, 4-0 Metro Suburban Conference) in Glen Ellyn.
