Schaumburg Teen Center offers place to play, grow

The Schaumburg Teen Center, located at The Barn, 231 S. Civic Drive, is open to Schaumburg teens ages 12-19. The center offers many educational, social and personal enrichment activities and programs.

Strengthening Youth Development is a recent initiative offered by the Teen Center. The goal of this program is to maintain and reinforce the daily character lessons and positive youth development that takes place within the Teen Center program.

The Teen Center will offer various activities and lessons to teen members that focus on influencing and enhancing character development. Each month a theme will be highlighted to recognize positive character growth such as respect, diversity, responsibility and more.

The center also offers teens video games, pool tables, ping-pong, darts, foosball and computers available every day!

Teen Center summer hours will begin in June. Hours are: 2-5 p.m. Mondays; 6:30-9:30 p.m. Tuesdays; 1-5 p.m. and 6:30-9:30 p.m. Wednesdays; 6:30-9:30 p. m. Thursdays; 2-5 p.m. and 6:30-9:30 p.m. Fridays; and 1-4 p.m. (September-May) on Saturdays.
