Wheeling Dems invite public to meet candidates

The Wheeling Township Democratic Organization invites the public to meet state Rep. Elaine Nekritz and candidates for the 29th state Senate District, Julie Morrison and Milton Sumption, Wednesday, Jan. 25. Topics include the 2012 campaigns and the state of the State.

WTDO members in good standing will also participate in the group’s endorsement process for several 2012 Democratic primary races.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the program with Nekritz, Morrison and Sumption will begin at 7 p.m. The meeting is in the Wheeling Dems offices, 1310 W. Northwest Hwy., Arlington Heights.

Nekritz is running for re-election, and is unopposed in the March 20 primary.

Morrison and Sumption are campaigning for the Democratic nomination in the 29th Senate District, where state Sen. Susan Garrett is retiring.

The endorsement session that follows is limited to dues-paying members.
