Mussman hosts education reform forum

To discuss last spring's historic education reform package with parents, teachers and taxpayers, Democratic state Rep. Michelle Mussman of Schaumburg will host an Education Reform Forum at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15 at Helen Keller Junior High School, 820 Bode Road in Schaumburg.

Stand for Children, one of the key supporters of education reform in Illinois, will update the community on the recent legislation.

The General Assembly passed Senate Bill 7 this past spring after education organizations, teachers unions and community groups came to an agreement to bring long-needed education improvements to Illinois schools that emphasize performance as a key component in establishing tenure.
