Bethel UCC hosts Ash Wednesday service for Elmhurst United Churches of Christ

On Wednesday, Feb. 22, join an evening worship to observe Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent at Bethel United Church of Christ in Elmhurst.

The service at 7 p.m. is hosted by Bethel, First Congregational, and St. Peter's United Churches of Christ, with clergy from all three congregations participating.

The Rev. Timothy Rhodes and Rev. Amanda McEvilly from St. Peter's will preach, with musicians from the three churches providing both vocal and instrumental music.

As part of the service, ashes and Communion will be offered to all those attending.

The Elmhurst Walk-In Assistance Network has been chosen as the recipient of the offering received during the service.

Bethel United Church of Christ is located at 315 E. St. Charles Road in Elmhurst. Parking is available behind the church. Enter from St. Charles Road or Huntington Lane off Poplar Avenue.
