Local 'gift wrapping guru' gives tips to Woodridge Library patrons

Professional gift wrapper and local resident Hilary Vincent kicked off the holiday season Nov. 30 with a live morning appearance on ABC 7 and a packed evening Gift Wrapping Workshop at the Woodridge Public Library.

The Woodridge library workshop was an opportunity for library patrons to get tips and learn techniques to make wrapping their own presents easier and more successful.

The free event saw 40 people getting in the holiday spirit as they made amazing bows, learned to deal with odd-shaped items and received great advice on how to keep costs down while improving the quality of their gift-wrapping.

ABC 7 featured Vincent as a local business owner of Ribbons & Strings who is finding success as she partners with Loews O'Hare Hotel to provide complimentary gift-wrapping over the next few weekends.

The gift-wrapping workshop at the Woodridge Library kicks off a season of fun and free programming that includes holiday story times, Cookie Day, and other events that can be found on the library's registration calendar at www.woodridgelibrary.org/events.
