Adams returns to GPS to present a calm, self-aware parenting approach using mindfulness and meditation. By nurturing children from an authentic state -- with openness, empathy, and humility -- adults create joyful and meaningful connections. Adams will guide participants in discovering their own self-worth and employing genuine communication skills to help address family matters such as school pressure, self-care, emotional intelligence and mental health.
Adams is a licensed clinical social worker and sought-after parenting authority. She teaches in the sociology department at Dominican University and Elmhurst College. Adams is the author of several books, including "The Power of Self-Aware Parenting." She and her husband Todd host Zen Parenting Radio, a top-10 kids and family podcast. They are also the creators of the Zen Parenting Conference.
