Glenbard Parent Series speaker to provide behind-the-scenes look at college admissions

On Thursday, Oct. 6, the Glenbard Parent Series: Navigating Healthy Families will present "Valedictorians at the Gate: Standing Out, Getting In and Staying Sane While Applying to College" with former college admissions director Becky Munsterer Sabky. It will be held at 7 p.m. via Zoom.

Sabky's best-selling book "Valedictorians at the Gate" is a behind-the-scenes, insightful look at how to best prepare for the college admissions process.

When she was a high school senior, Sabky was rejected by the college of her dreams. She did everything right but still received the "thin envelope." A decade later she was making admissions decisions for an Ivy League university.

She will illuminate the path to finding a school that is an ideal match. She will provide practical suggestions and advice that will de-stress and demystify the college application process.

Sabky is a former director of international admissions at Dartmouth College. She's also an award-winning newspaper columnist and a blogger.
