Group Invites Writers to Presentation by Dr. Amy Cattapan

Writers of all skill levels are welcome to attend the American Christian Fiction Writers Chicago Chapter (ACFW-Chicago) meeting from 6:30-8:30 p.m., this Friday, Aug. 12, at Calvary Community Church, 1000 S. Springinsguth Rd., Schaumburg. Attendees should enter through door five. Nonmembers may attend two meetings for free before deciding whether to join the group. No registration is needed to attend.

Friday's meeting will feature Dr. Amy Cattapan, a multi-published author, speaker and middle school English teacher. She will present "How to Tap into Your God-given Creativity," focusing on ways in which God calls writers and other artists to use their gifts and talents. Additionally, Dr. Cattapan will provide strategies for breaking through artistic blocks.

ACFW-Chicago members include authors, editors, and those who are working toward getting published. This Christian-based group writes many genres of clean fiction, including romance, suspense, young adult, fantasy, mystery, and more. Meetings are held the second Friday of each month and feature speakers and workshops to help writers attain their publishing goals.
