Huntley, IL - Effective June 30, and after almost 27 years of private practice in Huntley, attorney Michael J. Fleck will be winding down his practice.

Fleck accepted the position of Senior Trust Officer with Counsel at Resource Bank, N.A. in DeKalb, Illinois. Resource Bank is a well-established community bank with 13 locations throughout North Central Illinois, including branches in Hampshire and Geneva. His experience in estate planning and administration and his numerous articles and presentations on these subjects will serve him well in his new position.

"Resource Bank has a fantastic trust department of which I am excited to become an integral part and I will be working with bankers, attorneys and advisors who have the morals and values of community banking as their central focus," Fleck said.

"I would be remiss if I didn't say this was a difficult decision to make, as I have thoroughly enjoyed practicing in Huntley and am truly blessed with wonderful clients, many fellow attorneys and staff over the years, especially with my paralegal Nancy Dvorak for the past 20 years. That said, this is an exciting and perfect opportunity for me, allowing me to utilize my legal and business skill set as I continue my career into the next chapter," Fleck further stated.

Fleck will be winding down his practice over the remainder of calendar year 2022. During that time, he will continue to handle existing open matters and will also handle new non-litigation (i.e. transactional) matters that can be completed in relatively short order, such as real estate transactions, estate plans and business formation.

Fleck started his full time law office in Huntley in 1995. He served the community as Library Board Trustee (past President), School Board Member (past President), McHenry County Bar Association Board of Governors (Past President) and Centegra Foundation Board Member. He was and is a member of the Huntley Area Chamber of Commerce since 1995.
