Lavelle Law Expands Family Law Group

Schaumburg-based Lavelle Law has announced the hiring of attorney Annette K. Corrigan to the firm's established Family Law practice group. Corrigan is a highly experienced practitioner who will allow for the continued growth of one of the firm's busiest areas of practice.

"It is rare that we are able to welcome someone with Annette's background to our firm," said Managing Partner Ted McGinn. "She will allow us to expand our footprint in DuPage and Will counties where she has built a stellar reputation."

Corrigan has served clients across a wide range of family law matters including pre-and post-decree dissolution of marriage actions, parentage, and child custody. Her career path has also included handling matters involving litigation, employment law, personal injury, real estate, zoning, and probate and estate planning

"A good lawyer is a good listener, first," Corrigan said. "In cases involving family matters it's important that my clients know that I take time to understand their issues and goals before I pursue achieving the results they desire."

Corrigan received both her undergraduate degree and J.D. from Marquette University. She is active in a number of organizations including the DuPage County Bar Association, the Lion's Club, and Boy Scouts of America. In 2019, she was elected as a trustee on the College of DuPage board where she currently serves on the Budget and Audit committees.

"Annette fits the profile of a Lavelle Law attorney with her client-centric approach and her commitment to service outside of work," said McGinn. "We have always had an exceptional family law group and I believe she meets the standard our current team has established."

Corrigan becomes the 34th attorney in the firm across offices in Schaumburg and the Chicago Loop.
